Cameroon-Chad: Marechal Mahamat Deby Writes To Paul Biya

The Minister of State, Secretary General at the Presidency, Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh received the sealed message for onward delivery Friday during an audience with a Chadian envoy.
T he President of the Republic of Chad, Ma rechal Mahamat Idriss Deby, has sent an un disclosed message to his Ca meroonian counterpart, Paul Biya. Chad’s Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Abroad-based Chadians, Dr Abdoulaye Sabre Fadoul, han ded the sealed message from his Head of State to the Minis ter of State, Secretary General at the Presidency, Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh last Friday July 17, 2026 for onward transmission to the Cameroonian leader. This was during an audience the Secretary General granted, on behalf of the Head of State, to the nine-man Chadian dele gation led by Dr Abdoulaye Sa bre Fadoul and comprising among others, Chad’s Minister of Mines, Petrol and Geology, Mme Fatima Haram Acyl. Tal king to the press after the over 40-minute discussions with the Minister of State Ferdi nand, Ngoh Ngoh, Dr Abdou laye Sabre Fadoul said, “We came with a message from the President of the Republic of Chad, Marechal Mahamat Idriss Deby for his brother, the Presi dent of Cameroon, Paul Biya. It falls in line with the traditional fraternal bilateral ties existing between Chad and Cameroon. You know our two countries are neighbours with brotherly people linked by vital strategic ties.” Without giving details on the content of the message he bore for onward conveyance to President Paul Biya, the Chad’s Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Inte gration and Abroad-based Chadians however underlined that it focused on the fruitful and mutually-beneficial rela tions existing between the two Heads of State, their countries and peoples over the years. “We came once again to insist on the need to conti nually deepen and improve our ties for the good of the two countries,” Dr Abdoulaye Sabre Fadoul underlined. ...
