Connecting Roads Projects On Course

All the three Subdivisions of Bamenda City are beneficiaries of roads that link them to the various sections of the Babadjou-Bamenda road.
T he Bamenda I, II and III Subdivisions have been transformed into bustling road construction sites with most of these roads connec ting the hinterlands of these ad ministrative units to the main road which are the various sections of the Babadjou-Bamenda road. The Roads also connect diverse neigh bourhoods and will ultimately make movement in the city fluent and enjoyable when the works will be completed. Many of the road projects in the city of Bamenda are sponsored using the French Debt Reduction- Development Contract (C2D) placed under the supervision of the Mi nistry of Housing and Urban De velopment. Most of the projects started in 2024 and are expected to end in December 2026. The North West Regional Delegate of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, John Paul Njosi dis closed that as at the recent eva luation, the level of execution of the about FCFS 20 billion projects stands at 54.5 per cent. He said the projects sum up to 11.6km. The most noticeable projects in clude the Prison Junction- Avenir Market in Bamenda I Subdivision. In down town Bamenda, ongoing projects are the Veterinary Junc tion-Bamenda City Council, Go vernment Bilingual High School (GBHS) Junction through Two Bridges to Ndamukong, Ndamu kong through Tabessi to Cliff Hotel.
