Official Examinations : Secondary Education Ready For 2022 Session

Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute on May 18, 2022 presided at an evaluation meeting of the level of preparedness for the examinations.

The Cameroon General Certificate of Education (GCE) Board and the Bac Board of Cameroon (OBC), two structures in charge of organising official examinations for the secondary education sector in  Cameroon,  are ready for the 2022 session of the official examinations.
The Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute on May 18, 2022 presided at an inter-ministerial evaluation meeting on the state of preparedness for the 2022 session of the official examinations organised by GCE Board and OBC. While opening the meeting the Head of Government said it was on the instructions of the Head of State, President Paul Biya. The meeting came within the context of demands tabled by teachers of the basic and secondary education sectors and the ongoing implementation of the series of measures the Head of State instructed to solve the problems and ensure calm and serenity in the education sector. The inter-ministerial meeting was also attended by the General Manager of the Cameroon News and Publishing Corporation (SOPECAM), Marie-Claire Nnana among other officials.
Talking to the press after the meeting, the Minister of Secondary Education, Nalova Lyonga declared that, “The GCE and OBC Boards are ready. Everybody is ready.” The Secondary Education Minister declared that the official examinations had already started with sports.
