National Teams : New Trainers For Three Selections

The Intermediate Lions, U15 and U17 squads now have new officials following a press release from FECAFOOT on Friday August 5, 2022.

New officials have been appointed in some national teams in the country. These are the Intermediate Lions team and the U15 and U17 national selections. The announcement was made public in a press release signed by the President of FECAFOOT, Samuel Eto’o, on Friday August 5, 2022. The press release appoints Alioum Saidou Alioum as coach of the Intermediate Lions team. He will be assisted by former Indomitable Lions team mate, Pius Ndefi. It is the second experience for the former Cameroon Indomitable Lions player after having worked as assistant coach of Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir in 2016 and 2019. Appointed at the head of the local team, he takes over from Martin Ndtoungou Mpile who led the team to the Total African Nations Championship CHAN 2020 in Cameroon. 
Pius Ndefi on his part has been assistant coach twice. He served as assistant coach of AS Fresnoy and Saint-Quentin even before ending his football career. In 2019, he was equally sports director of a small team in Picradie, France and was the specific coach for attackers. The other members of technical bench include Clement Assimba as coach of the goalkeepers. Narcisse Tinkeu is the physical trainer and Blaise Yoye is the team manager. The new technical staff is expected to begin work immediately. The major task ahead for the new technical team is the second round qualifiers for the CHAN 2023 in Algeria against Equatorial Guinea.
