2026 World Cup Qualifiers : Minister Recommends Hard Work, Success

A preparatory meeting took place in the conference room of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education yesterday, May 29, 2024.

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon will play the day three and four matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde on June 8, 2024 at the Yaounde Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium and the Palancas Negras of Angola on June 11, 2024 in Luanda. Ahead of the two encounters, a preparatory meeting took place in the conference room of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education yesterday, May 29, 2024. The meeting presided over by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi brought together representatives of FECAFOOT, partner ministries, authorities of the Centre Region and stakeholders in charge of the organisation. Coach Marc Brys sat in as coach of the national team and Didier Banlock as coordinator. The meeting aimed at assessing the level of preparedness less than two weeks to the match against Cape Verde. 
Speaking at the opening, Minister Mouelle Kombi said the meeting was to examine all the sectors involved and ensure that everything is put in place for a successful match, adding that Cameroonians are waiting anxiously for the match. He reiterated the need for hard work, success and unity as the country prepares for the challenge ahead. 
At the end of the meeting, Minister Mouelle Kombi recommended FECAFOOT represented by Prof. Nkou Mvondo, member of the Executive Committee of FECAFOOT, to ensure good condition of work to the national team coach, Marc Brys and his team notably by putting at his disposal didactic materials and necessary sports equipment, ensure open collaboration in view of a harmonious organisation of the encounter through the sharing of useful and nece...
