2024 CAF Awards : Onana, Baleba Nominated

Cameroon’s André Onana and Carlos Baleba, have been nominated in the goalkeeper of the year and young player of the year categories in the 2024 CAF Awards. Both players play in the English Premiere League.
André Onana who plies his trade for Manchester United is marveling the world with his exceptional performances at both club and international level. He has solidified his position as one of Africa’s top goalkeepers. Alongside Onana, South Africa’s Ronwen Williams is another strong contender for the Goalkeeper of the Year award. He was equally nominated in the player of the year and inter-club player of the year categories.
The rapid rise to prominence of Carlos Baleba (20) who plays for Brighton has caught the eye of football enthusiasts worldwide and his nomination in the young player of the year category is not a surprise to many.
