Play Offs MTN Elite : Victoria United Champions

Victoria United is the champion of the 2023-2024  Play Offs of the MTN Elite One championship. The Opopo boys palyed a 2-2  draw with Stade Renard of Melong in the day seven match of the competition that took place at the Mbappe Lepe Stadium in Douala yesterday April 18, 2024. The last playing day of the championship required Stade Renard to win or Vitoria United get at least a draw to grab the trophy. 
The crowd pulling encounter pulled crowds  who stayed on their feet throughout the match shouting at the top of their voices and cheering their teams. Both teams mounted pressure as both teams mounted pressue as their dream was to the championship tile. Victoria United opened scores at the 20th minute of the through Dze Ebua Gilbert. However, Stade Renard fought back with a good play style that paid off as Victor Ngobara equalised at the 45th minute. The teams separated at half time on a 1-1 score margin. On Resumption, Stade Renard came back stronger and took the lead in the 60th minute thanks to Debi Ze Manga's goal. The joy was however not for long as Stade Renard committed a handball at the 70th minute in their goal area that gave a penealty for Victoria United.
