Cameroon-Australia : Economic, Commercial Forum Under Preparation

This was revealed during a press conference in Yaounde on April 22, 2024 by an NGO called, Cameroon KNECT.

Preparations for the first ever Cameroon-Australia Economic and Commercial forum are ongoing. A delegation on a working mission from the NGO Cameroon KNECT is in Cameroon to mobilise and sensitise the Cameroonian population on the importance of the forum. The information was revealed during a press conference on April 22, 2024 in Yaounde. The Economic-Commercial Forum is expected to take place in October 2024. 
Heading the delegation from Australia was the Australian Government Relationship Officer, Bortolo Rainiero Baitieri. He revealed that while in Cameroon, they have had several audiences with the Ministries of Mines, Industries and Technological Development, Water Resources and Energy, and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts. During discussions, Bortolo Rainiero Baitieri said they got to tell different government ministers what Australia can offer in terms of business and trade and also sought to know what Cameroon does best.
