NW Regional Assembly : Fru Angwafo III, Nkambe Fon Elected

The Executive Council of the North West Regional Assembly was elected on December 16, 2025 to rule the House for the second-five year term of office.

Professor Fru Angwafo III has been re-elected President of the Executive Council of the North West Regional Assembly. The new Vice President who is also the President of the House of Chiefs is His Majesty Fon Nfor Amidu Nji of Nkambe. He replaces Fon Yakum Kelvin Teuvih of Bambalang who ruled in the first five-year term of office. The other members of the Executive Council of the North West Regional Assembly include: the Commissioner for Economic Development Ghejung Awunti who was re-elected, Commissioner for Health Dr Fondufe Lydia Sakah re-elected, Commissioner for Sports, Professor Anyambod Emmanuel who is new. The two Secretaries who are all new include Secretary No. 1 Mvo Zenobia Ndum and Secretary No. 2 who is also the Secretary of the House of Chiefs, His Majesty Fon Zofoa Abubaka Fuanfor Yung of Babungo. Waindim Jude Nsom was re-elected Questor.
The election was conducted by the provisional bureau of the Regional Assembly headed by the 76- year-old eldest member Kibuh Tume Henry and the youngest member, the 23-year-old Mairiama Amadu. This was under the watchful eyes of the Representative of State, North West Regional Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique and in the presence of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) delegation that won the election of the Divisional Representative in the North West Region  led by Minister Tasong Paul.
