Seven-a-side football stakeholders in Cameroon have reaffirmed their determination to see the emerging discipline flourish nationwide, placing strong emphasis on continental cooperation as a catalyst for growth. In line with this vision, a high-level delegation from the Sevena-Side Football Federation of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FECOFOOT 7) recently paid a working visit to Douala, Cameroon from February 17, 2026, underscoring the growing momentum for collaboration across Africa. The FECOFOOT 7 delegation was led by its President, Lorenzo Kisombe. They were warmly received by Angu Lesley, Vice President of the 7-a-Side Football Association in Cameroon. Deliberations focused on strengthening institutional cooperation and exchanging expertise in key operational areas such as organizational structuring, competition formats, coaching and training methodologies, grassroots development strategies, referee training, and talent identification systems. The visit highlights a shared ambition to professionalise and standardize seven-a-side football structures across the continent, ensuring sustainable development of the discipline.
