Ekondo-Titi: Four Suspected Armed Bandits Arrested

They were taken into custody after joint efforts of the forces of law and order.
Some four suspected armed bandits out of six who attacked the Lobe Credit Union in Ekondo-Titi Sub Division in the South West region on July 8, 2017 making away with the sum of FCFA 36.4 million have been apprehended thanks to the Divisional Officer, DO of Ekondo-Titi, Edwin Nkenya Ngwana and the Lobe Brigade Commander Adjoudant Chef Ediage with his elements who spent sleepless nights to ensure that the culprits were arrested.
The arrested include; Eyong Simon Kenda, a driver who transported the gang, Sarah who is the Lobe Credit Union Accountant considered as the chief organizer of the theft, the night watchman and Ngute Nkwencha Rudolf Pupils Inspector of police from the Mutengene Police College who supplied them police uniforms and guns for the operation. According to the Divisional Officer Edwin Nkenya Ngwana when the bandits arrived the town they started by attacking the house of the accountant, Sarah and later moved to the Lobe credit Union Office where the doors were not properly locked even the safe in which the money was kept was locked only on with one lock instead of two.
The Eyong Simon Kenda was arrested by the Brigade Commander Adjoudant Chef Ediage after a serious fight in which Simon chopped off his hand. In the house of Simon after he was arrested, his own share of the booty amounting to FCFA 2.980.000 million. While the other four arrested and helping the forces of law and order in investigations their gang leader Tegha Gideon, Enoh, and Danis are still on the run. It is revealed that even the chief of Marumba Village was attacked for working in collaboration with the Divisional Officer to arrest them and in turn curb insecurity and reduce crime wave. Out of the 36.4 Million stolen, only 2.980 000 million has been recovered.
