Hope-raising Performance!

From every indication, the dark days of Cameroon’s lone air-carrier, Camair-Co, are gradually becoming a thing of the past. Slowly but surely, the company is turning a new page from the hitherto near inactivity and limited destination in the competitive airline business.
The outfit’s restructuring plan presented to the public on March 20, 2017 appears to be yielding visible fruit. Drafted on the premise of government’s steadfast efforts to revive the ‘national pride’ that had suffered dwindling fortunes blamed largely on insufficient planes, unstable nature of existing ones and the perennial problem of funding, Cameroonians can today objectively attest to the fact that things are changing for the better.
Proof is that local and sub-regional flights are increasingly becoming effective. After opening up to some of the regions of the country notably West, North West and Northern Regions, good news coming from Libreville indicates that the air-carrier has reopened the destination. On October 27, 2017 Camair-Co’s 737-700 plane taxied off for Libreville, Gabon. Sources say Friday’s flight to the Gabonese capital was the first in a year.  With the revived flights, passengers in Bamenda or Bafoussam can now fly to and from Libreville. Good news indeed!
