Commendable remarks on mutual cooperation were expressed at a State Dinner offered to the outgoing Egyptian Ambassador on November 1, 2017.
Bilateral relations between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Republic of Cameroon were said to have progressed over the years following several engagements by both countries in diverse domains of collaboration. The remarks were made at a State Dinner by the Minister Delegate at the Ministry of External Relations in Charge of Cooperation with the Islamic World, Adoum Gargoum, to the outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Egypt, Sherif Salah Eldin Elleithy, on November 1, 2017.
In a toast by the Minister Delegate, he said the Egyptian diplomat had in every sphere consolidated bilateral relations during his four-year stay in Cameroon. Adoum Gargoum added that he had distinguished himself in the search for greater harmony and the strengthening of dialogue between the government of Cameroon and the African Group of the Diplomatic Club in Yaounde. He further stated that the different high level visits by government officials from Cameroon to Egypt should as the visit of Ayang Luc, President of the Social and Economic Council, who personally represented the Head of State at the inauguration of the 2nd Suez Canal in 2016 is a benchmark indication that both countries cooperate on a good slate.
