National Assembly: Bureau Members Examine 2018 Draft Budget

They examined the projected budget in Yaounde ahead of its submission to the Finance and Budget Committee.

Bureau Members of the National Assembly on December 6, 2017 examined the draft budget of the 2018 fiscal year which was presented and defended by different Ministers and other related structures of the government.

Chaired by the House Speaker, Hon Cavayé Yeguie Djibril, the members examined what different ministers had proposed to be allocated to their ministries for the execution of long and short term priority areas in 2018. 

Meeting to consider the projected budget which stands at FCFA 4,513 billion, the members would seek modifications if necessary.

The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon Joseph Mbah Ndam, said they were meeting in order to scrutinize the different figures that were tabled before them. He stated that the budget of the country is subject to study by the Bureau Members before its submission to the Finance and Budget Committee.
