Satisfactory Voting In London

In accordance with Decree n°2018/391 of 9 July 2018, members of the Cameroon diaspora voted for a President in a polling station based at the High Commission in London.
High Commissioner of Cameroon to the United Kingdom, Albert Fotabong, his staff and party representatives on Sunday October 7 exercised their civic duties in voting for a President of the Republic. The Cameroonian diplomat was the first to cast a vote, exemplifying to others with officials respecting the stipulations of Elections Cameroon.
Statistically, a drop in registered voters was experienced between the previous elections held in 2011 with 303 registered, and 2018 with 274 registered.Only 144 votes had been cast at the closing of the poll.
Commenting on the day, Cameroon’s High Commissioner to Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Albert Fotabong expressed delight to see Cameroonians exercising their civic duty, drawing special attention to the cooperative and serene atmosphere – factors that galvanise efforts towards building a prosperous and strong Cameroon.
