Industrialisation Master Plan: Senate Solicited To Facilitate Execution

Senators understood the Industrialisation Master Plan of Cameroon, state of execution and the expected contribution of the Upper House of Parliament during a workshop last Friday.

Since Friday, November 23, 2018 night, Cameroon’s Senators are abreast with the Industrialisation Master Plan of Cameroon, its place in leading the country attain emergence by 2035 and the role of the Senate in the effective execution of the plan. This is thanks to the popularisation workshop on the plan that took place at the Senate on November 23, 2018. The Vice President of the Senate, Nkeze Emilia who chaired the workshop on behalf of the Senate President, Marcel Niat Njifenji said the Industrialisation Master Plan was the compass for Cameroon’s emergence. She stressed that the realisation of the plan required the collaboration of all stakeholders, stating that the workshop would facilitate its understanding of Senators.

Speaking during the occasion, the Minister of Mines, Industry and Technological Development, Ernest Gbwaboubou cited the Head of State, President Paul Biya who in several speeches has stressed the key place of industrialisation in Cameroon’s drive toward emergence.
