Athletics Cup of Cameroon : FAP, Cameroon Sport Are Winners

FAP (men) and Cameroun Sport (women) athletics clubs emerged winners of the fourth edition of the athletics Cup of Cameroon that ended at the Yaounde Omnisports Stadium on June 25, 2019. Organised by the Cameroon Athletics Federation (FECA ATHLETICS), the competition brought together 12 teams (six men and six women) teams from across the country. In the men’s category FAP men won the first place. The FAP women won six gold medals six silver and three bronze. The best athlete in the competition for women is still from FAP. The Armed Forces and Police team finished on top of the classification table with nine medals; six gold, three silver and three bronze. The best athlete in the men’s competition was Esseme Emmanuel Alobwede from Cameroon Sports Athletics Club. He won the 100m and 200m. The best athlete in the women’s category was Angounougou Edwige Sanama from FAP Athletics Club in discus. She threw a distance of 45m14 to grab the gold medal. In the women’s competition Cameroon sports was second and Athletes in Action (AIA) was third; all Yaounde based clubs.
