The Former Minister Delegate of the Supreme State Audit died last June 4, in Yaounde after a protracted illness.
The Former Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of the Supreme State Audit will be laid to rest on July 12, 2019, according to information from the Gwanmesia and Doh Folabit families, who have sorrowfully announced the death of Retired Justice Mrs Gwanmesia nee Doh Lucy Nahgua. She died on June 4, 2019 in Yaounde after a protracted illness. At the family residence in Yaounde, her pictures in traditional regalia and judicial robe surrounded with burning candles welcome mourners. The clock has stopped ticking for Justice Lucy Gwanmesia. A seasoned magistrate in the Cameroon judicial corps is gone. Talking to Cameroon Tribune her husband Pa Gwanmesia says “Mama was sick for a long time. But you know...when someone is sick, we always hope the person gets better.”
Late Lucy Gwanmesia was born in Buea, Fako Division. But she is originally from the North West Region, precisely from Bali. She was a mother of five children and a graduate from the National School of Administration and Magistracy in 1970 with a diploma in Magistracy. In 1987 she obtained a certificate of completion of internship on the drafting of legal texts and international law at the Institute of Advanced and Legal Studies, University of London. She was also a holder of a certificate of completion of the human rights internship, from the University of Strabourg, France in 1992.
