World Tourism Scribe In Cameroon

Taleb Rifaï visited the National Museum yesterday November 20, 2016, as part of his sojourn in the country.

The Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization, UNWTO, Taleb Rifaï, his in Cameroon. The WTO scribe was at the National Museum on November 20, 2016, where for one hour, he enjoyed exhibitions from Egypt, photo archives, ethnography, maternity, Cameroon’s State symbols, society and power as well as archeology and artefacts. Taleb Rifaï and his delegation were also taken round the halls for pottery and calabashes, poliptics, boom heart organisation, traditional habitat and outfits and traditional musical exhibition. A display of earmarked projects for the Ministry of Arts and Culture was also shown to the delegation.

Taleb Rifaï told the press after signing the Golden Book that the National Museum was rich in content. Most valuable pieces depicting all aspects of life are represented in the museum, he stated. « I was very impressed by the wonderful history of this country, particularly the modern political history. Its peaceful transition, its unification, its ability to bring people of different cultures and backgrounds into one country called Cameroon.
