University of Yaounde II : 2019/2020 Academic Year Officially Opens

The solemn start of the academic year and opening days of Academic and Professional Guidance for the academic year 2019/2020 took place on November 7, 2019
Activities to run for the 2019/2020 academic shool year at the university of Yaounde II (UYII). were disclosed during the solemn opening of the 2019/2020 academic year that took place at the Amphi 1500 of the institute. The ceremony presided over by the Rector of UYII, Prof. Adolphe Minkoa She, marked the official launching of school activities of the institute all geared towards the improvement of the educational system of the school. Delivering his speech, in presence of the representative of the Ministry of Higher Education, Pr Aboya Manasse Endong, the Rector enumerated the various projects of the University with the resumption of constuction works of a 1,000 capacity library at the campus being on top, with others having to deal with the development and rehabilitation works around acake infrastructures. During the ceremony, there was the visit of the varios stands put up by the different faculties of the University as well as other private institutions present like the Universities of Siantou and Matafen.
During the opening ceremony, the first official lesson of the year was dispatched by Pr Cyrille Monembou, Professor in Public Law, which was carried on the theme: “Forme de l’état et crise politique en Afrique”. He said what inspired him to choose this theme for the first lesson was the political state of the country and the efforts made towards solving the crisis, especially the Major National Dialogue that the President of the country organised.
