2020 Regional Council Elections : ELECAM Braise Up To Publish Candidature Lists

At about 9:30 a.m, Tuesday September 29, 2020, the atmosphere at Elections Cameroon (ELECAM) Head Office in Yaounde is scrumptiously busy with members of the Electoral Board and other key stakeholders storming the premises. Most traditional rulers did not pass unnoticed due to their entourage and regalia. They were all heading to begin another day of the session as of right of the Electoral Board which began September 27, 2020 geared towards scrutinising candidature files to subsequently publishing the list of candidates retained for the December 6, 2020 electoral race. 
Though relaxed, the mood on their faces was clear indication that the tension is high cognisant of the fact that they have the political destiny of the nation in their hands. They are currently deliberating on candidature files deposited by about 10 political parties and representatives of traditional rulers across 58 divisions of the country.
