School Resumption : Stakeholders Concert for Effective School Resumption

This was during a meeting with the Regional Delegate of Trade Commerce on Wednesday September 30th.
To ensure that parents and education stakeholders effectuate a successful school resumption for the 2020/2021 academic year in the littoral region, the regional Delegate of Trade and Commerce Mr. Omgba Belinga Simon has cautioned all to put hands on deck. This was during a meeting organized yesterday, Wednesday September 30th with bookshops owners and producers in the region. During the meeting the delegate cautioned the bookshop owners to respect the official prices and show respect for clients.
The meeting was a rare opportunity for bookshop owners and producers to express some of their worries which range from illegal control, seizure of didactic materials for unexplained reasons by controllers, sale of books by some schools, non availability of some books on the market a few days to school resumption and a lot more.
To these worries the delegate assured them that steps will be taken to address the situation. Delegate Omgba Belinga Simon did not minced words when he said that no school or super market is authorized to sell books. He advised bookshop owners to report cases of illegal practice to his delegations. He cautioned them to always ask for clarification receipts from their suppliers in other not to fall in to the drag net of controllers.
