First-ever 3-day trade fair by event management professionals ended in Douala recently, amid calls for financial sponsorship. Graduates as well as many other youths are employed in the sector as hostesses and masters of ceremony, yet its capacity to employ more is amazing. With a little financial assistance the sector will engulf a good number of jobless youths, thus improving living conditions.
In his keynote address, the Littoral Delegate of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts, in the presence of Douala City Council authorities, spurred the public to get interested in financing the activities of event management companies, noting that their help in the organisation of party, wedding, conference, seminar, or workshop, contribute to enhance the economy.
Event organisation can become a cumbersome process if not taken seriously. Professionals had the opportunity to showcase their know-how and their mastery of new strategies while promoting the management of events in the country.
