Egypt-Cameroon Cooperation : Doctors Equipped On Combating Emerging Diseases

They received their certificates from the hands of the Ambassadors of Egypt and Japan yesterday April 28, 2022 in Yaounde.

The Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Cameroon, Dalia Fayez Farag Ghubrial has handed over attestations to two medical doctors who had successfully completed an online course on Research and Crisis Management in Combating Emerging Diseases in Africa. Yesterday, Thursday April 28, 2022, Dr Akenji Blaise Mboringong and Dr Mboke Ekoum Eric received their certificates in the presence of the Ambassador of Japan to Cameroon, Takaoka Nozomu, the Resident Representative of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Kageyama Tadashi and officials from the Ministries of Public Health and Higher Education.
One of the laureates, Dr Akenji Blaise Mboringong said they have been trained on how to establish a research protocol, how to respond to different epidemic outbreaks such as what is happening now - Covid-19 pandemic. He expressed gratitude to have been part of those who were selected to take part in the training as him and his other mate from Cameroon had the opportunity to share the experience of pandemic management in Cameroon as well as learned from that which happens in other countries.
Ambassador Dalia Fayez Farag Ghubrial said EAPD is out to offer development and training programmes to African countries as well as those in Asia and Latin America in different domains such as health, education, fishing and agriculture.
