South West : Ndian Losses Central Police Commissioner

The Cameroon Police Force has lost a great expert in forensic science. He is Superintendent of Police Afendia Fobella Julius, who died in active service on 19 November, 2020. His body was laid to rest last Friday 11 December, 2020, at his Bomaka home-premises in Buea. He was born in Bellah-Ngeh (Lebang Fontem) in present Lebialem Division in 1962.
Police Superintendent (Commissaire) Afendia Fobella lastly served as Commissioner of Central Police Unit in Mundemba, headquarters of Ndian Administrative Division in the South West Region. He took ill and was bed ridden for some months suffering from an ailment that led to his death. The deceased was given Police honours in the premises of the Buea Mobile Intervention Regiment (GMI) under the chair of a top level representation of the Delegate General for National Security. His colleagues from the South West Regional Delegation for National Security and beyond joined at the funeral in Buea to give the departed a befitting burial. The mortal remains of Afendia Fobella were later conveyed to the Bomaka Sacred Heart Catholic Church Parish in Bomaka Buea where he had been in active communion over the years until his demise.
Speaking for the Delegate General for National Security, a representative described the deceased as having been “a Police Officer par excellence, discharging his duties with a high sense of discipline, integrity, accountability, honesty and transparency.” The speaker went further to say Afendia Fobella was a man of peace who disliked discrimination, and always educated the public on their constitutional civil rights.
