Advertising Sector: List Of Approved Agencies And Regulatory Bodies

Below is a press release from the Minister of Communication, President of the National Advertising Council.

“The Minister of Communication, President of the National Advertising Council, wishes to inform operators of the advertising sector that the list of advertising agencies and advertising regulatory bodies approved for the period spanning from 1^st January to 31^st December 2017 has been made public on December 29, 2016.

The publication of this list follows the submission of files by the operators concerned and their scrutiny by the Technical Secretariat of the National Advertising Council. The aforementioned list, which will be published in the press, can be consulted at the Ministry of Communication.

The Minister of Communication, President of the National Advertising Council, avails himself to reiterate that only the above-mentioned companies shall be authorized to carry out activities related to advertising agencies and advertising regulatory bodies in Cameroon for the aforementioned period.

In the same vein, the Minister of Communication reminds the concerned operators of the provivsions of Law N°2006/018 of 18 December 2006 governing advertising in Cameroon as follows:

1. The advertising agencies and advertising regulatory professions shall be incompatible;
2. Advertising regulatory bodies shall be the only ones authorized to market advertising spaces;
