Aisha Buhari Tournament : Lionesses Troop Into Lagos

The Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon have begun touching down on Lagos, Nigeria ahead of the Aisha Buhari Tournament which begins today September 15, 2021 and runs till September  21, 2021. A set of some international players headed by team captain, Aboudi Onguene arrived Nigeria recently. She was accompanied by the likes of Claudine Meffometou, Mayi Kith, Voulania Dabda, Collette Ndzana. We learned that other international players were expected to progressively join the team. Another set of players were projected to leave Cameroon yesterday, September 14, 2021 for Lagos. Though we had not laid hands on the official list of players to take part in this competition at the time of this report, it should be recalled that the Coach of the Lionesses, Gabriel Zabo had last month shortlisted some 11 international players and 28 home-based footballers to prepare for the competition. Fans could however be sure of a memorable performance in Lagos given that we have team captain Aboudi Onguene on ground alongside other fine international legs.
