Semi-finals : Senegal Begins Strategising

The team was expected to have a training session yesterday in preparation for their game against Burkina Faso.

The Teranga Lions of Senegal who have qualified for the semi-finals of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations are currently eying their first title after participating in several editions. To attain the objective of getting into history books as the team that will clinch the maiden title for the nation, Coach Aliou Cissé and his boys are leaving no stone unturned. After making it to the final four of the tournament by beating Equatorial Guinea on Sunday January 30, 2022, the Lions are reported to have already gone back to training fields in preparation for their next opponent, Burkina Faso. Contrary to other nations who may decide to take a day off after a hectic match, the team believes that there is no time to waste given that the game is slated for February 2, 2022 at the Yaounde Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium. We learned that they were expected to have a training session yesterday, January 31, 2022 at the Olembe annexe stadium. According to sources, the routine is that the day after a match, players who played are subjected to recovery exercises meanwhile those who were on the bench are given more intense exercises.
