South West : ELECAM Woos 400 Youth Into Voter Register

By 3 pm on Friday February 25, 2022, South West Regional Delegation for Elections Cameroon (ELECAM) had inscribed 400 youth on the electoral register. This is in a special 10-day campaign from February 18 to 28, 2022, meant to target youth in February, a period when youth are celebrated in Cameroon. ELECAM South West target was to register 750 youth at the end of the exercise on February 28.
From January 1, 2022, when the voter register was opened, ELECAM South West by February 10, 2022, had inscribed 1,050 youth on the electoral register. ELECAM officials said the youth week that had so many extra curriculum and cultural activities was a fertile ground for the massive registration.
Mewano Divine, ELECAM South West Boss, said the 10-day campaign was for education and sensitisation of the youth.
