Colombe of Dja and Lobo has made a leap forward in the Elite One football championship. The Dja and Lobo team beat Djiko of Bandjoun 2-0 in a day eight match that took place at the Yaounde Ngoa Ekelle Stadium yesterday April 13, 2022. Prior to the kick off, supporters of both teams thronged the stadium to encourage the players given the delicate positions of the two teams on the classification table. 
The encounter began as planned with each time determined to carry the day. From the kick off Colombe of Dja and Lobo proved stronger with a good play style that paid off as the Dja and Lobo team was able to score two goals in the first ten minutes. Colombe’s goals were scored by Bertrand Junior Mani at the fifth minute and Didier Divioka at the eighth minute. The first half was dominated by Colombe even though they lost most of their scoring chances. Djiko Bandjoun fought back but equally lost their opportunities. The two teams separated at half time on a 2-0 score margin in favour of Colombe of Dja and Lobo. On resumption Djiko Bandjoun came up much stronger with a different play style. That almost weakened Colombe that suffered some threats from their opponents. Colombe however gathered steam towards the end with a stronger defence, warding off any attempts from their adversaries. The two coaches made some substitutions, but that did not help the situation as no side was able to score. All efforts by Djiko to reduce score...
