Douala : Prayers, Cultural Display Mark Launching

The Minister of Youth and Civic Education presided at the launching ceremony of National Day activities on May 14, 2022.
The Minister of Youth and Civic Education Mounouna Foutsou on Saturday, May 14 in Douala launched civilian activities to commemorate the 50th edition of the National Day.
The day that was preceded by a sports walk saw both uniform officers and civilians parading the streets of Douala to converge on the Besseke grandstand where an ecumenical service took place. The religious officials from both the Muslim and the Christian backgrounds all called on God Almighty to bless Cameroon. They prayed for peace and encouraged Cameroonians to love one another no matter their cultural differences. They all called on God to intervene and end the crisis in the North West and South West regions, as well as in the Far North. They reminded all that unity is strength and God is love.
It was a great show of talent as the different military corps displayed their know-how in terms of cultural diversity. Through songs and dance, they preached national unity, peaceful cohesion, and national integration. It was also a moment for the militar...
