Central Africa : UN Official Appreciates Cameroon’s Stabilisation Contribution

The outgoing Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations to Central Africa, François Louncény Fall made the appraisal during discussions with the Prime Minister
François Louncény Fall who worked as the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary General to Central Africa for five years, has appreciated Cameroon’s contribution to the stabilisation of the sub-region. He spoke to the press on Thursday, May 19, 2022 after a farewell audience with Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute.
“This is my farewell visit to the Prime Minister. I spent five years in Central Africa as the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations. I am here to thank the Cameroonian authorities, especially, President Paul Biya.” He added that, “I appreciate the contribution of Cameroon on the stabilisation of Central Africa Republic. I thank the Prime Minister and all the authorities because I received strong support from the stakeholders in this country.” François Louncény Fall said that during his tenure of office, they contributed to the reform of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) to make it a more functional body in matters of peace and security.
