Mamfe District Hospital Attack : Manyu Women Seek God’s Intervention

Women of Manyu Division in the South West Region have prayed for God’s intercession as well as the government to redouble efforts at ensuring that the socio-political situation rocking the two English speaking regions comes to an end and the return of peace. This was during an event organised on June 15, 2022 at the Manyu Elements Cultural and Development Association (MECDA) hall in Yaounde mainly to denounnce the burning of the Mamfe District Hospital in the late hours of June 8, 2022. The gathering was an initiative of the EFOKHOYU National President, Dorothy Manyi Akoh-Arrey Enoh. The meeting also sought to draw the attention of government to the atrocities the people of Manyu have been subjected to by the crisis. 
Beginning with prayers, they called on God to have mercy on humans and restore the land with peace and harmony given that so many lives have been lost with the crisis. 
Speaking in tears, Dorothy Manyi Akoh-Arrey Enoh said the incident has been very disheartening. “Together with our Patron (Minister Victor Arrey Mengot), we are trying to put up a strategy how we can come up with a make shift hospital so that patients can continue being received. We have had so many atrocities but this arson is the height of it all. We could not hold back our tears. That is why we came out to join our voices and call on the Lord Almighty to touch the hearts of all who are causing these atrocities,” she said.
