2022 Women’s AFCON : Lionesses In France

They are in the country for an acclimatisation training course ahead of the continental showpiece which comes up in less than two weeks.

The Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) slated for July 2-21, 2022 in Morocco is at the corner and the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon are fine-tuning tactics ahead of the high profile competition. The team is currently in France for an acclimatisation training course. The delegation comprising of 26 players selected by Coach Gabriel Zabo left Cameroon in the night of June 20, 2022. 
After two groupings on home soil, that which is ongoing in France will be the third and last before the players move to Morocco to defend the colours of the country. While in France, Coach Zabo and his girls will face the French women’s national football team in a friendly on June 25, 2022 at Beauvais. This friendly, it should be said, will serve as test match for the Indomitable Lionesses ahead of the WAFCON meanwhile the French national team is using the exercise to prepare for the Women's Euro 2022 scheduled in England from July 6-31, 2022. This game will be the third friendly taken by the Indomitable Lionesses after the double confrontation against Senegal in Douala. 
Before the take off for France, it should be recalled that the Lionesses had a last training session at the Bepanda annex stadium which focused on defensive and offensive transition. However, Coach Zabo may have to take the preparation to another level while in France.
