School Complex of Unity Palace : End-of-Term Feast Crowns Academic Year

The event, which marked the start of the third-term holidays for the pupils, was presided over by the First Lady, yesterday June 23, 2022.
Pupils of “Les Coccinelles" School Complex located at the Presidency of the Republic of Cameroon yesterday June 23, 2022 celebrated 22 years of existence and academic excellence in a festive ceremony which also marked the end of the 2021-2022 academic year. The event was presided over by the First Lady of Cameroon, Chantal Biya, who is also the founder and matron of the institution. Taking place at the school premises, the event, witnessed by several cabinet Ministers and special guests, was marked by the award of prizes, singing, dancing and recitation of poems in the two official languages. Particular about the event was the graduation of the 17th batch of pupils from the school who scored 86 per cent in the Common Entrance Examination and Competitive Examination into Technical Secondary Schools.
In a welcome address, the Director of the School, Guillaume Mpouenanga said after two years of interruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the school community was glad to have the matron among them to grace activities marking the end of the 2021-2022 academic year, which is a period of rest (third term holidays) for some pupils and entrance into secondary education for others. He said the State House School’s end-of-academic term feast was an occasion to present a balance sheet of the academic records of the pupils which he graded as satisfactory. He explained that after three weeks of intellectual work during the third term, statistics indicated that pupils obtained 100 per cent in all the classes. The average overall pass in class two was 15 on 20. Those in class three obtained an overall average pass of 13.28 on 20, while those in class four and five obtained an average pass of 13.28 and 14.01 on 20 respectively. The school director revealed that results of the First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) and CEP examinations are still awaited. But he has no doubt that the pupils will obtain 100 per cent as it was the case in previous years.
