Cameroon Cup Round of 32 : Old Timers Booted Out

As the 32 finals of the 2022 edition, the preliminary round, of the Cup of Cameroon draws to an end more and more surprises are springing up. After some teams that are considered to be regulars of the Cup of Cameroon finals are being eliminated from the completion. Defending champions PWD of Bamenda have been knocked out of the race. The Abakwa Boys suffered a 1-0 defeat to the a Third Division side, AS Real of Bertoua at the Ngoa-Ekelle Stadium in Yaounde on Monday July 11, 2022. The defeat came as a blow for the cup holders as it dashed all hopes of playing the African Confederation Cup. Created in 202, the East Regional outfit, AS Real Real of Bertoua has grown into a heavyweight in the East Regional League. From all indications, the team is out for business in their first Cup of Cameroon Campaign.
