Semi-Finals : Time For Hostilities

Zambia meets South Africa meanwhile Nigeria plays Morocco today to determine the two candidates to compete for the coveted trophy of the ongoing Women’s AFCON.

The ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) that began with 12 teams is left with only four countries battling for the title. They are; Nigeria, South Africa, Morocco and Zambia. These semi-finalists have high hopes as they battle for the last two spots today, July 18, 2022. 
The first semi-final clash will be Zambia versus South Africa, 6 p.m. at the Mohammed V stadium in Casablanca. Zambia that has made it for the first time in the semi-finals of the WAFCON has the chance to continue making history. Meanwhile, South Africa, that has participated in the WAFCON finals four times has the opportunity of a fifth final qualification and why not winning the continental showpiece for the first time.
The second clash will be Morocco against Nigeria 9 p.m. at the Complex Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat. The nine-time winners, the Super Falcons, will want to continue defending their title and clinch their 10th trophy. The Atlas Lionesses of Morocco who are taking part in the semi-finals for the first time are hoping to continue seducing their home crowd. Worth mentioning is the fact that Group C produced two candidates for the semi-finals (Nigeria and South Africa) meanwhile Group A and B have one candidate each. 
No matter the outcome of the semi-finals encounters, these countries can be contented to have attained one of the stakes of the competition; that is qualifying for the 2023 Women’s World Cup. Zambia and Morocco will be participating ...
