2022 Women’s Military World Cup : Cameroon Bags Silver Medal

They were beaten by France 2-1 in the final of the competition played in the night of Friday breaking Saturday July 23, 2022.

Cameroon has made history in the 2022 Women’s Military World Championship by being the first African country to bag home a silver medal in the competition that has ended in the USA. This was after the Military Lionesses of Cameroon were beaten by the Military Women’s team of France in a game played in the night of Friday breaking Saturday July 23, 2022. The game started pretty well for the military Lionesses as they favourably constructed play hunting for a goal. They got a breakthrough at the 24th minute when Confidence Bongben scored the first goal for Cameroon. They struggled to add their goal tally before break time but their French opponents put up tough resistance.
France came into the second half with a very high spirit being conscious that they were down by one goal and at the same time confident that they could make it. Before the girls of coach Ndoumou Mike could realise that break was over, Rachel Corboz scored the equaliser for France less than two minutes into the second half. The French continued mountingt pressure and this led to the ousting of Cameroon’s goalkeeper, Annette Ngo Ndom with a red card...
