Cameroon Cup : Semi-finalists Known

Bamboutos of Mbouda has qualified for the semi-finals of the ongoing Cup of Cameroon competition. The Mangwa Boys picked their qualification ticket yesterday July 28, 2022 after they edged newly promoted Elite One side, Gazelle Garoua, 3-1 after penalty kicks at the Yaounde Omnisports Stadium. It was a interesting encounter that kept spectators on their feet shouting top of their voices and cheering the players. Bamboutos started off well dominating the encounter but they lost their scoring chances. Gazelle of Garoua put up a good game and quickly got control over Bamboutos. The Garoua team made use of their good play style and were able to open scores at the 32nd minute through Marius Kada. That spurred the players and at the 43rd minute Hadji Issa Moustapha scored the second goal for Gazelle.  At half time the score line was 2-0 in favour of Gazelle of Garoua. 
On resumption, Bamboutos of Mbouda came up stronger creating more pressure for Gazelle of Garoua. That helped the team as they were able to score two goals in that half of the game. Gazelle put up a strong resistance but they lacked experience as compared to Bamboutos. The match ended in 2-2 draw and only penalty kicks could separate the two teams. Bamboutos carried the day after beating Bamboutos 3-1.
