Public Administration : Staff At PM’s Cabinet Sharpen Skills

A two-day training in Yaounde (July 28 to 29, 2022) saw the staff being drilled on best practices and latest techniques in public management.

Some 50 personnel of the Prime Minister’s Cabinet have updated their skills on public administration. The two-day (July 28 and 29, 2022) intense capacity building seminar concerned finance agents, secretaries, drivers, janitors and technicians, and aimed at increasing productivity in their respective professions. Knowledge acquired at the training is expected to have a direct impact on their output and improve services offered at the PM’s cabinet.
Presiding at the closing on July 29, 2022, the Representative of the Prime Minister, Landry Sossomba, called on the staff members to apply the new techniques acquired with diligence in order to be worthy collaborators of the Prime Minister. “First of all, I will like to thank the experts who took their time to train the personnel of the cabinet of the Prime Minister. After the two-day training, as impact, we are waiting for more competence of the collaborators at the Prime Minister’s cabinet to accompany him each day in the accomplishment of his high and delicate mission,” he stated. The Prime Minister’s representative also highlighted on ethnics and professionalism in the exercise of their duties. “You know at that level of administration, it is very important to master the environment and how things are done. All those elements are what we call ethics and deontology because public administration has principles guiding personnel and they should master all those aspects in order to be very competent personnel who are worthy to deserve the confidence of hierarchy, the Prime Minister, Head of Government,” Landry Sossomba emphasised.
