Tennis Cup of Cameroon : Etienne Teboh, Stadfany Nformi Winners

Etienne Teboh and Stadfany Nformi emerged winners of the 2022 edition tennis Cup of Cameroon that took place at the Yaounde Tennis Club court on Saturday August 20, 2022. Organised by the Cameroon Tennis Federation (FECATENIS) the competition brought together over 200 athletes from across the country. The competition unfolded in the singles men’s and women’s categories. Inhabitants of Yaounde and elsewhere will have another opportunity to discover new techniques in the sport. 
In the men’s final Etienne Teboh from Douala beat Djomo Etele (Yaounde) 2-0 sets (7-6, 7-3) in a tough encounter. The public watched with amazement as the athletes displayed rich talents. Etienne Teboh began by dominating the game from the start but Djomo Etele put up a strong fight, running neck and neck in an attempt to overthrow his opponent. At 6-6 points the players were only separated by tie-break. Despite efforts by Djomo Etele to win Etienne Teboh had all the necessary techniques to maintain his superiority given his experience in the game of tennis. Earlier, in the women’s final, Stadfany Nformi from Oyebog Tennis Academy of Douala outplayedTadoum Yontha equally from the Oyebog Academy in Douala 2-1 sets (6-2, 7-5, 7-5). The winner, Etienne Teboh said the victory is an encouragement for him to prepare hard for upcoming international competitions.
