Secondary Education : New Classrooms, Equipment To Enhance Learning

The Minister of Secondary Education, Prof. Nalova Lyonga on August 23, 2022 in Lekie Division, Centre Region, commissioned six classrooms donated by Hon. Gabriel Koah Songo.
The 2022-2023 academic year will go down in the annals of Government Technical High School, GTHS Nkol-Zibi in Evoudoula Subdivision, Lekie Division of the Centre Region as one that transformed learning. In reality, the school will begin dishing out distance education lessons. Thanks to the donation of a four-classroom block, benches and computers by the Member of Parliament, MP for the area, Hon. Gabriel Koah Songo.
The donation, which was formally received and commissioned by the Minister of Secondary Education, Prof. Nalova Lyonga on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, was complemented by the offer by the Minister of 10 tablets, solar panels and video surveillance cameras to GTHS Nkol-Zibi. And the promise by the Minister to post more science teachers to the subdivision. After which she instructed that the school begin distance education lessons from one of the classrooms donated by Hon. Koah Songo. Earlier in the locality of Batsingda, the Prof. Lyonga commissioned two modern classrooms equipped with benches. Another donation by Hon. Songo to Government Secondary School, Batsingda. The construction and equipment of the two modern classroom blocks is worth 60 million FCFA, Hon. Gabriel Koah disclosed.
The Minister was full of gratitude to the Member of Parliament for transforming the educational destiny of his constituency. Asking the crowd to give him a round of applause, insisting on the respect of the “Clean School” policy. She urged parents to pay greater attention to technical education, for that is where job creators are trained. Prof. Lyonga rejoiced at the fact that local children will no longer receive lessons in private homes for want of classrooms.
