Axel Taillandier : The Wonder Boy From France

Axel Taillandier emerged overall winner of the 22nd edition of the Chantal Biya International Cycling Race that ended in Meyomessala on Saturday October 8, 2022. The 23-yearold cyclist from Team France Défense completed the race in 14h24’37’’ with a time record of 1’27” on his runners-up. It was the first time the Frenchman is winning the competition. The young and energetic rider waited on until the last lap to grab the yellow jersey. Taillandier did not only win the yellow jersey. He equally won the white jersey for the best youth in the competition which was kept by Kubis Lucas from Dukla Banska Bystrica (Slovakia). He won the highest points on the classification table followed by Kubis Lucas and Clovis Kamzong Abossolo from the SNH Velo Club. 
Axel Taillandier finished fourth during last’s edition but came up stronger this year and won the competition. From the start of the race, no one could imagine that Axel Taillandier would win because he was hidden. However his real talents were discovered at the end of the competition.
