Douala : Global Entrepreneurship Week Scheduled

The purpose will be to facilitate the creation and development of businesses through a platform of projects and programmes in more than 180 countries.
Entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, policy makers are expected to converge on Yaounde to celebrate the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) at the esplanade of the National Museum in Yaounde from November 14-20, 2022.
The Week in Cameroon is being organised by Global Entrepreneurship Network Cameroon, which seeks to assist people to bring up ideas and turn them into promising new ventures, thereby creating jobs, accelerating innovation and strengthening economic stability.
GEW is the largest and most visible effort of the Global Entrepreneurship Network, which is a platform of projects and programmes aimed at making it easier for anyone anywhere in the more than 180 countries to start and scale a business. It seeks to celebrate the success of business people, in order to connect with aspiring young people who are in need of their experience in order to also succeed. For one week, nearly 35,000 events and contests across the180 countries will be held to encourage millions of people to engage in an entrepreneurial activity. Also in attendance will be project owners and incubators who will participate in conferences, trainings, a start-up village dedicated to entrepreneurship with exhibition stands and, at the end, prizes will be awarded to winners of a competition in entrepreneurship.
The information was made known during the 1st ordinary general assembly of GEN Cameroon presided over by the Littoral Regional Delegate of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises at the Douala Lewat Hotel over the weekend.
