Elite One : Colombe Records Two Straight Victories

After the second playing day on Sunday October 23, 2022, the South Regional club is the only outfit to have registered such performance.

Seven matches counting for match day two of the ongoing Elite One Championship were played on Sunday October 23, 2022. A total of four draws and three wins were recorded. In all, Colombe of Dja and Lobo is standing tall. After finishing match day one as the team with the highest number of goals, the South Regional outfit ended match day two as the club that has been able to record two straight victories so far. This was after beating PWD of Bamenda 2-0 on Sunday October 23, 2022 at the Bamendzi Stadium in the West region. Colombe just like in the first match against Aigle (3-0) was proficient upfront making use of opportunities. Jeff Louis Ngongang scored the two goals for Colombe in Sunday’s encounter. It should be said that in two matches, this player has scored three goals. Colombe has so far not conceded any goal. This tells of the watertight defence of the squad managed by the likes of Djaleu and Aloukou.  With two victories, the club pooled in Group A is leading with six points. The team is two points ahead of Stade Renard that recorded a goalless draw against Renaissance of Ngoumou on match day two. Eding Sport that is third on the classification table remained with the three points grabbed on match day one against Avion after that of match day two against Coton Sport was postponed.
