Qatar will begin their campaign against Ecuador on November 21, 2022. It will not be an easy task for the team which will be appearing in the competition for the first time. To meet up with the challenge, the coach has selected six defenders, eight midfielders and six forwards. Almost all of the team is also made up of players from clubs in the national championship. The attack is the strongest compartment of the Qatar national team. Left winger, Akram Afif is arguably the team's best player. On the right wing, it is Hasan Al-Haydos, the most capped player in the country and also captain of Qatar, who plays with more than 130 international matches to his credit.
