Build-Up : Organisers Finalise Preparations

The last preparatory meeting took place at the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education yesterday November 8, 2022.

Cameroon is ready to host the Reggae Boyz of Jamaica in an international friendly match that will take place today November 9, 2022 at the Yaounde Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium. The last preparatory meeting took place at the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education yesterday November 8, 2022. The meeting brought together officials of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education, authorities of the Centre Region, representatives of FECAFOOT, as well as other partner ministries.
Opening the meeting, Minister Mouelle Kombi, announced that during today’s match, the national flag will be handed over to the Indomitable Lions team before their departure for the World Cup. Yesterday’s meeting aimed at evaluating the level of preparedness of the different committees in charge of the organisation.  The different committee heads took turns to present to the Minister the state of readiness of their committees. The First Vice President of FECAFOOT, Celine Eko said the institution is ready for today’s game. She explained that FECAFOOT worked in line with the recommendations of the Minister during the last meeting.
