National Tchoukball Championship : Vogt Clubs Are Champions

The Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex was the venue of the finals of the 2022 edition of the national tchoukball championship that took place at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex recently. Organised by the Cameroon Tchoukball Association, the competition brought together eight teams from across the country. Last weekend’s competition marked the end of competition in the different poles. The competition unfolded in the men’s and women’s categories. Apart from the senior categories, there was equally the U10 category to give a chance to the younger generation. A total of 10 matches were played in both the men’s and the women’s categories. The matches were played in three quarter hours per match on a dimension of the basketball court. Inhabitants of Yaounde had another opportunity to discover new techniques in the sport. 
In the men’s final, Vogt Tchoukball Club of Yaounde beat Vallée Tchoukball Club 35-28 in a thrilling encounter. Vogt Tchoukball Club dominated from start but faced strong opposition from Vallée Tchoulball Club. Vogt Tchoukball was more technical and that gave them added advantage over Vallée Tchoukball. In the women’s category, Vogt Ladies Tchoukball Club beat Bonamoussadi Tchoukball Club from Douala 36-22 to win the championship title.
