Renewal of Executive Bureaus : Rules of The Game Clarified

The electoral process to renew the executive bureaus in the different sports federations in the country is gathering steam. To ensure free and fair elections, uphold transparency and limit post-electoral petitions, a seminar has been organised for the different actors of the national civil sports federations The one-day seminar aimed at giving major orientations, remind the stakeholders to respect the 2018 law, amongst other objectives was opened on November 11, 2022 at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi. 
While opening the seminar, the Minister underscored the need for an inclusive and mature process that will produce credible elections at the end. 
Talking to the press, Minister Mouelle Kombi said the seminar was a preventive mechanism to avoid irregularities in the process. “When stakeholders are not versed with the rules of the game, elections wrangling will follow and it can be harmful to the cohesion and the vitality of the national sports movement,” the Minister said.
