Enhancing Digital Transformation : MINREX Gets Intelligent Video-conferencing Unit

The Ministry of External Relations, on November 15, 2022 received an intelligent video-conferencing system unit. Offered by HUAWEI and christened “HUAWEI Idea Hub,” the Minister Delegate to the Minister of External Relations in charge of Cooperation with the Commonwealth, Felix Mbayu, received the equipment for his ministry. The donation is in line with the promise made by the President of HUAWEI Group for Northern Africa, Terry HE, when he was accorded an audience by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute on May 17, 2021. He had taken the commitment to offer modern video-conferencing system units to the government of Cameroon. Some other ministries have already received the digital equipment. What was handed to the Ministry of External Relations comprises an 86 inches flat screen of high definition which permits one to navigate on the internet and interact with others at the same time, a quality sound system, microphones and speakers. The system has an inbuilt technological system with a high definition camera. It permits participants to virtually meet and feel as though they are in the same hall.
